Climb Above Parkinsons

Never Stop Moving

Climb Above Parkinsons is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that exists to bring awareness about, and treatment for, Parkinson's Disease, as well as inspiration, education, and hope to Parkinson's sufferers, their caregivers, and anyone facing fatal, neuro-degenerative diseases.

It draws awareness and inspiration by encouraging and supporting the members of the climbing community. Anyone who loves the intellectual and physical benefits of climbing, and particularly those who dare to ascend the hardest rock, ice, and alpine environments, will be recipients of awards and support, forever. Continue to push the envelope, test the world, and inspire.

The initial fundraising effort of Climb Above Parkinsons will be supporting a 2 year long campaign of an individual climber as he aims to climb the “Seven Summits” (the highest mountain on every continent). Thereafter, the organization will offer financial and moral support to any climbing campaign designed to accomplish the unimaginable. We desire to inspire any individual, or his or her family, who may be suffering from the effects of Parkinson’s Disease, to never stop moving, never give up, and continue to climb and overcome the disease.

Climb Above Parkinsons directly benefits the USC Keck School of Medicine Neurology program, and the brilliant work of Dr. Giselle Petzinger and Dr. Michael Jakowec.
